Before embarking on his solo career, the singer was involved in several bands, including the funk-rock group Joe Rockhead. He left the University of Texas at El Paso to fully commit to the band. After releasing three independent albums, the band disbanded, and Schneider joined the funk-infused jam band the Ugly Americans, which secured a deal with Capricorn Records.
After co-founding The Scabs, the musician decided to leave band life to focus on a solo career, adopting a more acoustic style than before. His debut album, released through Universal, was titled "Lonelyland," which was also the name he used when he first went solo. The song “Big Blue Sea” from the album received consistent radio airplay, followed by “Metal & Steel,” which became his most played track.
His second full-length album, "I’m Good Now," was released in 2004 by Vanguard Records and received positive reviews. Due to…
